AboutMe

Professional

Currently I am serving as VP Engineering at Offerpop, where we’re looking to transform marketing from broadcast messaging to social conversations.

A graduate of Rutgers University, I’d previously served as VP Engineering at PlaceIQ, exploring the frontiers of location-based intelligence. Prior to that I served as:

  • VP of Technology at PulsePoint, where we built and enhanced an RTB-enabled AdServing platform, which handles over 150 billion real-time transactions a month.
  • Director of Product Development at the CampusEAI Consortium where I led development of the myCampus social portal platform
  • Application Developer at Rutgers University, where I led implementing the Sakai learning management system, worked on the myRutgers portal (based on Jasig’s uPortal), as well as Identity Management.

I have also served on the Board of Jasig, a 501(c)3 Non-profit focused on building open-source software serving the needs of the Higher Education community and perform independent consulting as an agile coach, and related to portals, e-learning, enterprise architecture and modern engineering practices.

Personal

I’m originally from St. Louis, MO, but really grew up in New Providence, NJ (home) and am now exploring NYC. I have three generally beautiful children: Chris (10), Leila & Penny (both 9). Given the 3 small children, and immediate proximity to grandparents I’m fairly rooted in NY/NJ, though I love travel and do hope to someday be able to have a pushpin in my world map on every continent.
