Maxis has posted a version of Simcity online to play for free: Classic Live – SimCity.com.
p(update). Unfortunately, the site says that you must be running MSIE or Netscape on Windows. Spoofing the user agent with Safari just resulted in a blank page. Does anyone know a support number/email we can use to complain? I looked on their site, but couldn’t find one.
